Carach Angren invoke The Cult of Kariba!

Carach Angren -The Cult of Kariba - Album Cover

Carach Angren are, to this reviewer, similar to the folks over at Anaal Nathrakh. Both boast fundamentally different styles, of course. But they will burn any mental fat off your inner workings quickly, once you find yourself immersed in their sometimes (very) sick and hopefully, fantasy world. Cathartic tranquilization through pure terror, that kind of thing. Loud, brutal, and plain relaxing.

So, after a long wait, CA finally decided to meet their fanbase again. And that’s a good thing. The outlooks on top of our office tower1 already started to initiate search and rescue plans. Unnecessarily so, because … [...] Click to raid more!

Video: Ik Kom Uit Het Graf, sepulchral musings by Carach Angren!

Carach Angren - Ik Kom Uit Het Graf - Video Cover

Long time no hear, sez I. After their take on Frankenstein (or Franckensteina) left the gate, Carach Angren kinda disappeared from sight. A few deep knocks here and there, but nothing to write home to the Dark Lord about.

In their relatively short career, Carach Angren produced some pretty sturdy pieces, like Where the Corpses Sink Forever1 or the bloodthirsty, yet unpronounceable Franckensteina Strataemontanus of 20202[...] Click to raid more!

“It’s alive!”

This battle cry in Necromancer of Carach Angren‘s newest album Franckensteina Strataemontanus1 just drives the essence of the piece home.

The record is full of such moments. Delicious little tidbits that underscore the great quality of (yet another) version of Frankenstein lore. And in truth, this is not a story that the RMR deck crew could leave by the wayside. Right?

On top, the record comes along in a deliciously obscured manner. With a slightly misspelled naming and a tale that greedily feeds on different storylines of the past. In other words, the band wisely concluded … [...] Click to raid more!
