Actually, I wanted to ignore their new piece. We had enough Cradle of Filth on this zine over the years. Right? Well, not quite, it appears. Dani Filth‘s troupe of daemonic misfits brought much entertainment to these offices, starting with Dusk… And Her Embrace. And since then, the RMR team consumed record after record of frantic back and fro on stage with the (in)famous filthy screams reminding us who we were dealing with.

So, now, The Screaming of the Valkyries appeared on our radar. And – in a way – it got stuck to our frontal lobe like

RockmusicRaider Review - Cradle Of Filth - Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay - Album Cover

Already the corpse paint must have cost a fortune. Or was it only cheap Photoshop? Just look at the official pictures of the Cradle of Filth crew for their newest record Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay.

Impressive, ain’t it?

But the outcome of these darkly ominous paintings fit the theme perfectly.

But now – sadly or then perhaps not – CoF left the dark path of Black Metal, and went full tilt Gothic Metal. Yet, the band still maintains a healthy dose of galloping Heavy Metal style riffs, mixed with some decent speed. With a smattering of pretty … [...] Click to raid more!
