Freeze The Fall plough The Red Garden!

Freeze the Fall - The Red Garden - Album Cover

They’re young, they’re hungry, and that’s a good thing. Teen band or not, Freeze The Fall boast a musical prowess well beyond their years. And all of that comes with a professional media marketing package that’s almost flawless in nature and execution. But it ain’t snazzy marketing that got our attention, it’s that irresistible sound roaring out of our mighty music machine.

The Red Garden boasts a mix of Alternative and Heavy Rock and a few crazy jaunts into Metalcore country. Plus, you’ll have the pleasure of enjoying some remnants of Nu-Metal that raise their ugly heads suddenly. The band’s fare sends you back to the early ’00s. Times when Evanescence‘s star started to rise and symphonics started to counter cranky metal shenanigans still in search of a firm footing. A style that would flourish later in the decade.

And that’s what Freeze The Fall excel in, too. You won’t find only Neanderthal beats, heavy chugging, and thundering drums, drunk on Quinn Mitzel‘s crystal-clear vocals. Instead, the band forged a balanced and technically outstanding blend of melodically driven and even gothically tinged journey into heavy music country. Combined with blurbs of haunting piano and the dreaded lament of melancholic strings. And with all that intense variety, the RMR crew found astonishing coherence, flow, and subdued groove in their unusual tune. And boy did we love the short but juicy breakdowns into metalcore with those awful Nu-Metal monologues that sound strangely alluring at the same time.

Ultimately, though, the RMR crew was struck speechless by the musical prowess, stellar production, and outstanding craftsmanship on The Red Garden. These guys roar onto the scene from nowhere, fully equipped with all the accouterments of a great rock or metal band. Complete with a sound that’s usually the bread and butter of established acts, not some high school n00bs on steroids. Said differently, they will go far, and they’re only just starting. So, all those industry experts better set their trackers on them. Because the debut full-length record must not be too far away. And as for this crew, we can’t wait to get our grubby little fingers on more of their fare.
