RockmusicRaider - Malice Divine - Self-Titled - Album Cover

Yet another one-man show. Right? Usually, those jacks of all trades risk ending up in a mess of tinny guitars and moldy vocals. It is a fucking revelation that some of them actually cut it, and with kudos to boot. But often you get that quagmire of one who wants to nail it by himself, but it never quite sounds right.

Malice Divine hovered around our radar for a long time, and way beyond the self-titled album’s release date. That’s one of those records of the ‘me-too’ kind. It constantly pops up like this kid that wants a … [...] Click to raid more!

This week’s mission was to find the review request with the nerdiest album available in our review pipe. A band so much outside of our already unusually large boundaries that they actually should be banned instead of let in. Folks that should earn the RMR Cringe Award, but not get a free and full review with all of those (questionable) honors.

And the RMR deck crew is (un)happy to announce that we found the culprit. The unsuspecting winner of the current weirdo prize is – Sectlinefor and their new record Kissing Strangers During An Outbreak.

What put us on … [...] Click to raid more!

Palus Somni – Monarch of Dark Matter – Review

RockmusicRaider - Palus Somni - Monarch of Dark Matter - Album Cover

Dark matter. A theme that truly is a bone of contention for some or a proven theory to others. Well, at least more or less. An elusive substance that some scientists state must exist, whereas others claim that it doesn’t. A theory that finds its origins in the late 1800’s, so it has been around for a while. But here we go, whilst the scientific community is split, it could be something that fills large parts of the universe.

Mysterious, raw, protoplasmic, untamed. A bit like Cthulhu with a mathematical equation for better … [...] Click to raid more!
