I know, the Moonspell line was already present on the Wildhoney review, but what can I do? You could also argue that it is some weird mixture of Type O Negative and The Sisters of Mercy.

It is actually present-day Train and their opening song Cadillac, Cadillac, even imitating the Caribbean lilt that the former and long dissolved band mastered so well. Speak about a truckload of transformation compared to their former offerings. And that already at the start of the album.

Wow! We found ourselves some nexus here. Right? The Rasmus on steroids with a taste of Britney Spears! And this featuring a female front and two more male singers – one clear voice, the other growls.

It is kind of a vocalist overkill of sorts. And all that voodoo is delivered without the feathers that you would have gotten from Lauri and his gang! Well, who would have thought that! From great beginnings, starting with Enter right up to The Heart of Everything, we have seen superb work from Within Temptation. Yet, somehow their performance started to decline with The Unforgiving. And unfortunately their 2014 record Hydra did not stop this decline.
