Hehe! RMR is moving out of the moldy underground sump of our review pipe into the bright-lit realm of Metal o’ the Light. But fear naught, it will only be for a short while and we will be back.

The RMR clip scouts stumbled across Feuerschwanz and their new video Bastard von Asgard. Meaning, ’tis their second appearance on this ‘zine – and that is quite a dastardly feat for a parody band to pull off over here. But then, Feuerschwanz proved to be more metal than some of those other overly silly funny bunnies out there.

The RMR crew gets a ton of well-crafted records delivered to its virtual doorsteps. Excellent material that we need to sift through and make painful decisions about what to cover and what not. And sometimes they’re not the right choices. But what can you do, right?

The Pagan World of Metallics is vast. You get all sorts of street performers with scant knowledge of the good ol’ times when Gaia’s forces were – supposedly – in charge. Often they wear strange rags, holler incomprehensive screechy monologues, and stomp weirdly around the stage.

In their defense, there’s little scientific wisdom available to back things up. And even that is often clouded by the mists of time to boot. They’re like satellites that never connect to planet RMR. Bands that somehow float about our very own solar system, but more on an impossibly erratic course than the usual ellipse. It’s a bit like those comets that make no sense because nobody really understands what they do once they’re in intergalactic space.
