Funny how that works out. The cheap-looking album covers of Inhuman Condition got us to pick up Rat God in the first place. There’s some twisted humor in there. These covers look like the front pages of them sleazy Pulp Fiction novels we used to buy many a decade ago. And somehow, the perpetrator’s mug kinda looks familiar. Or is it just me? Hidden messages galore or brain fog brought about by too many conspiracy theories. Whichever comes first. And that the new band sports refugees from the mighty Massacre was just icing on this metal cake.

I know. We just gave Inhuman Condition‘s Fearsick a pretty bad rap. And for cause. This 2022 record just serves as a weak offshoot of what Rat°God had in store for the Death Metal adepts about one year earlier. And I am aware of course that we shouldn’t dish out judgment on a line or two. But sometimes, things are so obvious, they can’t be denied.

Do you know why Inhuman Condition‘s record Rat°God never got any undying Death Metal love over here in 2021? It’s because we all heard it before a gazillion times. And that even if this band’s debut album often sounded like lots of unbridled fun. But it also often eerily felt like a crazed version of one of Rogga Johannson‘s many outfits.
