Ah yes, Dune, a sci-fi classic authored by Frank Herbert back in the ’60s. Full of worms, sand, desert heroes high on drugs, and Ninja-style fights. But it’s also a novel that never quite clicked with yours truly. Despite all that, I nonetheless went to see the latest movie and was – utterly unimpressed.

The movie’s a big and technically astute production but it also seriously lacks substance, decisive action, and suspense. Some critics put this down to a severe case of ‘following the book’. And there is some truth in that. But a movie needs to be exciting, not … [...] Click to raid more!

Alright, Wormed should form part of our n00b crowd at the RMR office tower. A list of established metal acts that – to this day – somehow didn’t make it on our roster yet. The band emerged from the vile depths of space in 1998 and produced all of – four full-length albums over all these years. But even with a scarce density like that, this band has exerted considerable influence on Brutal and Technical Death Metal over time.

Hmm, isn’t that ironic? Just before attacking Vorga‘s last piece Striving Toward Oblivion, Corpus Diavolis’ 2022 piece hit. So, lo and behold, Beyond The Palest Star is on the menu, and what?
