The RMR crew won’t touch re-releases with a flagpole. Usually. You know, records that somehow got launched into the ether earlier by some band and now get a revamp by a label. And as often happens, said labels carry a much more powerful marketing punch than standalone artists. But – exceptions rule the world. And Skade‘s Gudinnen1 is one of them.

The record indeed crossed our hawse in 2022. But for some reason, it got some tough love dished out by the masters of grump over at the RMR review desk. Reasons? Unknown, the silence of the lambs … [...] Click to raid more!

Now, the Italian band Revenenience named their debut album after the device. Early filmography in metal, that’s quite a novel … [...] Click to raid more!

Some bands truly like that balancing act – and most are good at it, too. That gallivanting about those gazillions of metal flavors to concoct something of their own making. They don’t necessarily invent anything new, but those records often hit you with a rock-solid metal avalanche.

Records of substance that provide that metallic manna any metalhead craves. The real thing, not watery remnants of a thing called metal long ago.

Often you find those pieces with bands featuring some fantasy theme that can range from Tolkien’s brave warriors to unicorns in space. And they’re fun to listen to until … [...] Click to raid more!
