RMR’s 2025 Top 10 Records!

RMR's Top 10 2025 - Skeleton on a rock with electric guitar with a clock in the background.

In 2024, RMR’s Top 10 was dark, ominous, and, at times, frankly distressing. Full of Satanik Panik, deep excursions into the terrible underground of Death and Black Metal, or – again – just frank, straightforward malevolence. There weren’t many rays of light, and one wondered what daemon visited the RMR Office Tower exactly to inflict such a brutal punishment on the esteemed audience. Even if the RMR crew just discovered some odd tidbits of ’24 that could have lightened the load. Could. But didn’t.

RMR’s 2025 Infamous Lamestream N00bs!

Infamous lamestream n00bs - Three skeletons around a fire on an island during a tropical storm

At first, the RMR crew thought that 2025 wouldn’t support yet another worthy year-end list of lamestream n00bs. In RMR Office Tower speak, this means old, established rock and metal bands with some influence on the industry appearing for the first time on this zine. Yup, you heard this right. A lot of our focus was on the vile underground, and the woozy old geezers at the Review Desk had … [...] Click to raid more!

Magnadur – Punishment of Hamlet (2025) – Review

Magnadur - Punishment of Hamlet - Album Cover

Didn’t we tell these guys to stay off our feed and not return? After this Beautiful Nightmare, Magnadur was good for the scrapyard. So, we turned the page and moved on. A waste of space in our music library. At least, this is what this crew thought.

Because, lo and behold, another manic piece of this Perrakoski dude threw itself into our feed. And that burning sensation brought about unfinished business with this band. It ain’t smart to mess with the geezers at the review desk over at the RMR office tower. Never, ever.1 So, here we go … [...] Click to raid more!

Deathless Legacy – Damnatio Aeterna (2025) – Review

Deathless Legacy - Damnatio Aeterna - Album Cover

The RMR crew got to know Deathless Legacy when their 2018 piece Rituals of Black Magic hit our turntables. A record not without its (pretty severe) shortcomings. But they had that perfectly balanced song – Dominus Inferi – on the tracklist. And that is what finally made the cut over at the office tower. Saturnalia, the EP, improved matters some, whereas Mater Larvarum left mixed feelings behind yet again.

So, the band’s latest Damnatio Aeterna has been rummaging about the deepest recesses of our review pipe for a few months now. They got picked up and then dumped again, … [...] Click to raid more!
