Moonspell – Far From God (2026) – Review

Moonspell - Far From God - Album Cover

From early on in the RMR zine’s existence, Moonspell has been an ever-returning companion of sorts. The crew was forever fascinated with our first finding, Extinct. The puffy-nippled, yet gruesome female torso kinda drew us to the record as if the Lord of The Flies had called. But then, the record itself was somewhat hard fare for a fledgling music review site. But then, we stumbled across Night Eternal. This one carried real heft, a brutally dark, murderously ominous atmosphere that would not leave you until the last note disappeared into the ether.

Soothsayer – The Unbinding (2026) – Review

Soothsayer - The Unbinding - Album Cover

You won’t believe how much the RMR crew dreaded the thought of the Irish gang Soothsayer having a sophomore moment. Non Serviam - La Lune Dont Mon Âme Est Pleine - Album Cover

Non Serviam. An anarchistically driven chaos troupe masquerading as a metal band. Their last record, Le Coeur Bat,1 was so atrociously underwater that it didn’t even make it to publication over here. And perhaps we should have let it air on the RMR zine. This would mean that two zero-rated records would dwell in our statistics today. Not the greatest idea, by the way. It is not desirable to collect those if you run a webzine like ours. But I digress.

Back to Non Serviam, the French band. It always amuses me when riotous and probably … [...] Click to raid more!

Sarcasm – Lifeforce Omnibound (2026) – Review

Sarcasm - Lifeforce Omnibound - Album Cover

Here’s to a band with an (alleged) understanding that traditional Swedeath will be a difficult sell to an audience conditioned on too much Rogga Johansson1 and little else. So, Sarcasm gave their offering a little push to move outside of the confines of THAT Swedish brand of metal. To get a breath of fresh air and some room to maneuver, I reckon. And who can blame them? The aforementioned genre itself is sadly overcrowded and is fraught with – norms after all.

So, let Lifeforce Omnibound shine its sickly light unto us measly dwellers of the metalverse and teach … [...] Click to raid more!
