Video: Sensorium by Ruby Bouzioti!

RockmusicRaider Video - Ruby Bouzioti - Sensorium Cover - Banner

After two short blurbs on cover albums by Therion and INK respectively, we are again going at it. This really starts to look like a new trend over here at the famous RMR office suite. I guess a serious talk with the office manager will be in order.

This time the victim is the track Sensorium of Epica. Taken from their first album The Phantom Agony that came on-line some 15 years ago. Complete with a very young Simone Simons in her beginner’s shoes.

RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Tragul 2018Same as the dreaded Henry MetalTragul ramped up their presence ever more during 2017. Only that this particular band took a much more interesting route.

The newly formed outfit decided to forego the usual treadmill chasing records. Instead, every 1-2 months a new video sees the light of day. A kind of a drip feed to the hungry masses addicted to your soundbites, which – in itself – is an interesting concept.

But then, these guys are arguably more on alt-metal territory than anywhere else.

Now think about some Progressive Metal that somehow [...] Click to raid more!

They finally dit it. Xandria managed to keep one of their female fronts a bit longer than for a felt stretch of one album only. So, here they again feature the classically trained Dutch singer Dianne Van Giersbergen on their second album in a row. And rightly so. Talented girl that she is, she can easily match a range from Tarja Turunen, over Floor Jansen and back to Simone Simons. And that means something.

As the band’s progression goes, already their last contribution Sacrificium was a step up the star-studded ladder of operatic glory. This makes [...] Click to raid more!
