Deathless Legacy – Damnatio Aeterna (2025) – Review

Deathless Legacy - Damnatio Aeterna - Album Cover

The RMR crew got to know Deathless Legacy when their 2018 piece Rituals of Black Magic hit our turntables. A record not without its (pretty severe) shortcomings. But they had that perfectly balanced song – Dominus Inferi – on the tracklist. And that is what finally made the cut over at the office tower. Saturnalia, the EP, improved matters some, whereas Mater Larvarum left mixed feelings behind yet again.

Depravity – Bestial Possession (2025) – Review

Depravity - Bestial Possession - Album Cover

2025 had its share of Brutal Death Metal. But, let’s move back to the endless Northern night, shall … [...] Click to raid more!

Cryptopsy – An Insatiable Violence (2025) – Review

Cryptopsy - An Insatiable Violence - Album Cover

Brutally effective Death Metal had a difficult stand over here this year. And bands going beyond that with outstanding skills and a nuclear determination to get there were nonexistent. True, the reasonably feisty Castrator grated on our turntables this year. But we also got more tepid, sewage-infested material, and more of that than we ever wished.

The Canadians from Cryptopsy landed in the unsavory, noisome catacombs of our review pipe back in early 2025. Not something the RMR crew readily enjoys when beach-time starts winking at ye and summer’s on its way. Especially when a piece calls itself An [...] Click to raid more!
