RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Doc Rotten - Sick & Suffering - Album CoverIt is insane, Doc Rotten continually remind me of old, pugnacious punk bands. A hint of The Pogues, raw and without the latter’s Irish veneer. A sip of grunge straight from Nirvana, and the brutality of the Sex Pistols.

And then this uncanny resemblance to old punk rock glories somehow got mixed up with some early Green Day in a sick kinda way. To top it, these guys did not resurrect themselves from the UK, but hail from Trenton, NJ in the good ‘ol US of A. Land o’ Trump and whatnot. So, this really is a good recipe for some punkishly rash pleasures going forward.

The RMR deck crew really started to take a liking to the brash, into-your-face style of these newly emerging punk rock bands. We just enjoyed some island punk from Infected Syren some weeks back. And now we came across this very short, tiny blurb of some 11 minutes only. Sick & Suffering is yet another tasty morsel of a style offering long thought dead.

Doc Rotten and their sophomore EP offer up just 5 exceedingly short, but very high-octane tracks that we guarantee you will enjoy.

Doc Rotten are:
Wes (Guitar, Vocals)
AJ (Drums)
Andrew (Guitar)
Mike (Bass, Vocals)
