What happens if you name a band after an archipelago splashed into the Arctic Ocean?
Well, the Bristol-based band Svalbard happens, releasing a surprisingly crunchy debut full-length and amazingly crusty Hardcore Metal album called One Day All This Will End.
Recorded and mixed by Lewis Johns at The Ranch, Southampton. Mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. LP Cover Art has been delivered by Serena Cherry. The record was released on 15 December 2015.
And do put on your crash helmet.
Svalbard serves you with this blindingly hot metal stew, yet still kees the record easily accessible and with an astonishingly sturdy structure. I am stunned by the quality and power this band can muster. It will take you in and you will want more of that as you move along the track list.
Watch out for squalls! You will for sure not want this to end anytime soon!
