I admit, since Malina happened, Leprous kinda left the RMR building and disappeared from our joint consciousness. We weren’t quite sure if this band would get further coverage.

And we still ain’t.

Now, the release of Pitfalls approaches and we’re getting bits and pieces of this new album. Videos rocking away in the good, ‘ol coal mine, or whatever it is. Or the odd sales job that masks as an interview. You get the drift.

It is true, you know. This channel is sorely in need of some genuine rock. True, we just covered Dirty Sound Magnet and their high-octane rock. But it looks nonetheless like metal and its nuances took over and started to rule our lives.

Ah, Rick Lambert and his band Empty Trail are on the prowl again. And this is interesting, in a geeky and telepathic kind of way. Just a few short weeks ago I wondered whatever happened to this band I used to cover.

Yet here we are.

After the pretty sturdy Hollow Hearted of 2014 and the less juicy 2016 full-length Bare, they are now back in business. With their newest, yet decidedly very short EP Lost. And we all hope that the title is not meant literally.
