RMR is rummaging about the metal underground yet again. And I mean some hardcore underground. Félonie‘s the name and De Sève et de Sang1 the game. Created by a one-man show that currently only sports a sparse number of followers on the band’s Facebook page and not much social media coverage at the time of writing this piece.

RMR management bestowed themselves with a project. One that will – apparently – never happen. And this is to cover the best cuts of the mighty Jethro Tull. The forerunners of Progressive Rock, annoying escape artists running from the steely clutches of the guardians of ‘proper’ rock ‘n’ roll of times long past. And it’s a mighty task given that Ian Anderson’s artistic loins are so large. You’ll have trouble finding the right words – and enough time doing it.

I just watched Omnium Gatherum’s latest video and was – no surprise there – struck all over again with the closeness to the sleepless ones. And indeed, Insomnium and their somewhat stereotypical brand of melodeath often stands for the law by which all shalt be measured.
