Vredehammer - God Slayer - Album Cover

Well, look what slithered into daylight from under an ancient rock. RMR searched far and wide for an Extreme Metal record so vile, barbarous, and savage, it had the potential to blow bands like Anaal Nathrakh from the Throne ov Metal AbominationsTM. Abject brutality galore can be found in many of those Neanderthal Death Metal pieces, but unhinged ferocity served with style and savoir-faire, that’s a different story.

So, here Vredehammer – the hammer of wrath – surged into the spotlight with a vengeance. And it brought a gift called the God Slayer. How could we ever … [...] Click to raid more!

Rotting Christ - ΠΡΟ ΧΡΙΣΤΟU - Pro Christou - Album Cover

RMR covered Rotting Christ for a few years already. They’re one of the feistiest established Extreme Metal bands still standing in the metal multiverse. Meaning, most of the culprits didn’t even make it over the threshold over here, but some like Saturnian Mist actually did.

So, the review desk didn’t have high hopes for Hell:On‘s latest record1, and the piece was thus already confined to the oubliette before it even garnered a closer look from the powers that … [...] Click to raid more!

Sidus Atrum – Розірване Небо (2024) – Review

Sidus Atrum. The band that astonished the hell out of us back in 2022 when Spiral of Life suddenly hit our review pipe. The RMR crew was smitten right away by the elegant arrangement and pretty neat songwriting on offer. And, the piece made it onto the 2022 Top 10 Records. Deservedly so.

Meanwhile, a full-fledged shooting war ensued between Russia and the band’s home country Ukraine. And it’s, by the time of writing this review, still raging full-throttle. Sidus Atrum‘s 3rd full-length record Розірване Небо (Torn Sky) understandably instrumentalizes that war and the tribulation that goes … [...] Click to raid more!
