2024 was a difficult year at first. It started very slow and apart from a few forlorn underground pieces, there wasn’t much that struck the fancy of the old geezers over at the RMR Review Desk. So, how were we ever going to field a genuine Top 10 series with no good material to show for? But fear naught, by late spring the crop started showing some promising results. And – boy – the harvest took a somber turn with many a malevolent piece hitting the desk of the surly Guardian ov the Review Pipe.

Let me be straightforward with you. Every record the RMR crew touched so far with sitar-infested shamanesque vibes was a failure. Either it wasn’t up to par or the lofty goals of the band were a tad too high-strung for their own good. Meaning, most of the culprits didn’t even make it over the threshold over here, but some like Saturnian Mist actually did.
