In cooperation with Stygian Crypt Productions and Possession Productions, the band compiled a savvy selection of covers on two CDs. One in tribute to Therion by a number of bands and the second disk with covers recorded by Therion along all these years the band has been active.

But then, it fits the theme, doesn’t it? The record tells a story of the massive 1755 earthquake that ravaged Lisbon that same year. And – believe it or not – this still resonates with parts of the Portuguese population to this day. Ah, the Italian metal scene just never ceases to amaze me. From the mountainous foothills of the upper North to the very bottom of the heel you will find a plethora of metal bands.

Their styles are as diverse as the geographical spread they cover. From deep, dark Black Metal over airy Symphonic to Pagan Metal – you have them all. To top it, many of them are of international renown, I would like to add.
