I just started twirling Children of the Void from the Canadian band Karkaos. Well, hells bells, this beat hitting my sound system from the cold Atlantic shores seemingly delivers some déjà-vu mix of Avantasia and a healthy tot of Sirenia. A much more ballsy version, though, and Avantasia would have to come down from their lofty heights and add some serious friggin’ crunch to match that.

Sons ov Omega formed already back in 2012 but unchained their debut full-length album [...] Click to raid more!

Damn, I’m freezing! It is this cold, cold gale blowing down on us from the arctic North. Or is it the cold metal blasting out of my boomboxes?

Luckily the winter is over soon and the frozen tundra and wind-blown plains between the Russian border and eternity will warm up. If not, these guys up in Finland will continue to find dark and cold tunes that will ice our bones and souls. And there is a bunch of them trying to drive us to tears with doom-laden and dark soundbites that flow towards us.

Now speaking of cold and desolate.
