Well, who would have thought that? The crazed shrimp is back.1 But this time, it returns with a much sturdier depiction of the beast than the smudgy one that garnished Lion Share‘s Inferno piece earlier this year.

Oh, and don’t get your hopes up. The band didn’t suddenly experience a magical surge of productivity that led to this famed second annual record that should never have happened. Instead, the band’s current label, Metalville, decided to reissue the band’s 2009 piece Dark Hours, out on 28 August 2026.

By the mighty Gawds ov Metal, this album cover of Lion’s Share‘s Inferno here is simply atrociously bad. This blue pseudo-alien looking like a deranged shrimp1 feels so cliché that the prospect of what kind of music might be found inside this blurb here makes me shudder. And not in a good way.

That Lion’s Share already appeared on this zine in 2017 speaks for them, though. This was for a then-brand-new clip for their single, Another Desire. We reckon it will be the same track with this moniker on Inferno‘s Heavy Metal list. That’s impossible … [...] Click to raid more!

Sometimes they do wake up again after all from their endless beauty sleep. Like the proverbial mummy returning from the dead, Imhotep and all. Metal bands sometimes take a hiatus – a pause to reflect. Not that the band members themselves personally do nothing. It’s just that band activity dies down to an inanimate state in suspension, very much like death itself.
