I had a complaint.

It all centered around the lack of folk on the RockmusicRaider blog. A sentiment that the RMR deck crew heartily supported by the way. The zine got a pretty tough metallic shine over the last months – growls, corpse paint, and all. And this is just dandy of course, no contest. But our credo also leans towards the more folksy aspects of the music multiverse.

So, what better surprise than this alluring blurb from Italy that just wafted over the alps. ‘Tis exactly that medicine that we need to soothe our metal-hot nerves with. Complete with a [...] Click to raid more!

Newsflash: Blood of the Dragon – by and for Therion!

RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Therion - Blood of the Dragon - Album Cover

Blood of the Dragon, Therion‘s limited edition collection of covers that just released this March 2018. This is an eclectic piece of work not seen to date in the illustrious career of the metallers from Sweden. And – maybe – their next will even be better, right?

But this does not mean the non-existence of modern music, bad quality, or – Loki forbid [...] Click to raid more!

I am sitting in a bar with some friends. Nice, dark, and cool it is in here, some chicks lounging not far away at a table. Fatty finger food and caloric drinks galore that will wreak havoc with my jelly-belly. But hey, the brain likes fat and sugar, so here we go.

Downright comfy, right?

If only there wasn’t just that annoying background music. Like a cold drizzle out in the boonies, always there, but never quite present. Soulless soundbites without effect, created in the cold embrace of robots and synthesizers with some dude tweaking some buttons. I guess to [...] Click to raid more!
