Who ever said there would not be enough prog in 2022? Ah, yes. RMR’s upper echelon made some ugly noises about that. But fear naught. The year already spawned pretty decent old prog fare, albeit a bit less than usual. And even Haken sent some signals that seem to point to new, exciting proggy objects heading our way. So, let’s not abandon hope, right?

In the meantime, though, we found some hybrids like Seyr. But also bands like Infanteria that may be closer to the mark for this here new record. The latter sport a thrash/prog tincture that we … [...] Click to raid more!

And that’s – come to think of it – right on target. Rogga here is part of Massacre, same as one Terry Butler was until lately. There you go, connection’s made. So, about a year back, the … [...] Click to raid more!

Controversy sells, we all know that. That, and a fair dose of authenticity and trve geekery in whatever art you may excel in. The music industry is fairly famous for some of the more outrageous specimens. Rough, dirty, and often otherworldly provocations reach us not only in the form of dreary soundscapes but surely through moving pictures that often darkly glow with dreadful cinematography and worse live shows.

Now, there are truly masterful instigators out there. Bands that work with questionable iconography, unnerving storylines and symbols, and sport a musical style that will have the political correctness … [...] Click to raid more!
