When I first read the title of Rorcal‘s newest pile of filth, I had to laugh. Silence – the contrary to what one expects from any of this band’s vanta black offerings. In fact, peace and quiet is what you will yearn for once the record is done with you. And it comes with a whopping 42 minutes of insane heaviness, so take heed.

Welcome to one of the vilest shards of some sort of Blackened Noize from Hell that 2023 threw at us to date. And there’s nothing pretty to see here. Ready? Jump right in if you … [...] Click to raid more!

Ah, RMR’s on the lamestream trip again. 2023 contains an impressive number of old ‘n’ rusty metal bands that are total n00bs on this here webzine. Oh boy. This is either one of Loki’s cosmic jokes or we got ourselves the evil twin from the adepts of the Metal o’ Darkness. Or is the apparent name-dropping just pure coincidence? Let’s find out.

Well, I think the sleepy ones of Insomnium better wake up. There’s a new gang on the … [...] Click to raid more!

Apolostolica was quite a surprise back in 2021. The band emerged out of nowhere in full anonymous mode à la Ghost on the Power Metal train with Haeretica Ecclesia. The band’s debut came along as one full-throttled PM album of a band staffed by reputable and established musicians from a variety of bands. That’s what we were told, to be precise. Especially Ezekiel‘s croaks sounded suspiciously similar to some of the bigger players out there in the metal multiverse.

But be this as it may, the record made quite an impression over here. Albeit with a record that … [...] Click to raid more!
