Melt Motif - Particles Death Objective - Album Cover

Ever since Steven Wilson left the solid grounds of Progressive Metal and went full-tilt Pop Rock adorned with colorful electronica, the RMR review folks were searching for that next one. Gotta have some break from the endless avalanche of metal heading towards us from time to time.

Now, the electronic metaverse is as full of garbage as it is varied. Yet, there are those proverbial cherries on that misaligned cake of garishly colored horrors. To find them is terribly difficult. And – of course – a second such record needs to be outrageously out-of-the-box and so avant-garde that it will … [...] Click to raid more!

Merciless space lore with a Scottish flavor, filled with armed dinosaurs, fireflies of doom, and Sixcalibur, the … [...] Click to raid more!

Nanowar of Steel - Sober - Video Cover

RMR regulations strictly ban lyric video posts from publication on the ‘zine. And for cause. Low-budget clips like these won’t sport any stellar cinematography – at all. None, nada, zilch. And that is why, those won’t even warrant consideration. Usually.

But there’s always Nanowar of Steel to force an exception. After all, they’re the self-proclaimed masters of comedy – and they’re also good at it. After all, their Norwegian Reggaeton caused a lot of raucous uproar over here with its Latin tune and metallic antics. And the band got a few mentions from us on social media on a variety … [...] Click to raid more!
