There are records that kinda follow you around. But you’re never quite sure what to make of them. They’re intriguing, but you need that right moment to jolt your lazy reviewer’s ass into writing mode.

On one hand, the undeniable groove always pulls you towards them. On the other hand – however – there are always those inconsistencies that make you sit down all over again.

Darzamat and their new record A Philosopher At The End Of The Universe is such a case. And this time, it is this change in style that kind of took us aback.

Of course, UtA is a Power Metal band and by this calling, they are prone to … [...] Click to raid more!

RockmusicRaider - Fleshgod Apocalypse - No - Video Cover

Ah, Fleshgod Apocalypse in a dungeon, chained to bars and screaming No. And all that to the tune of a thunderous metal avalanche that is so typically FA. Well, that’s exactly what I needed this Sunday morning with my bacon and eggs.

Okay, this video here will by no means match the superb quality of Monnalisa. But as to momentary impact, an early morning metal hit, and full tilt download of the animal power this band can muster, this one is stellar.

No bitches about sad times1, false prophets, and that music will save you anyway. … [...] Click to raid more!
