Black Sabbath are often claimed to be ground zero for all things metal and rock. The poor chaps appear to be guilty of every style and direction the metal multiverse meandered through. How on earth this might be possible, I frankly can’t fathom.

But hey, it’s always easy to state that particularly well-known band with the flamboyant Ozzy as their figurehead. They truly are – or were – dinosaurs, products of that primeval sound chaos from which today’s rock and metal emerged.

And TBDM really is no … [...] Click to raid more!

The Dutch band River of Souls crossed our hawse way back with their pretty corny debut The Well of Urd. And a doomily powerful concoction it was, served on a foundation of the old gods’ shenanigans. One that wore out one or two of our turntables, by the way.

Now they’re back in the preparation loop for their upcoming new record called Usurper, due out mid-May. We just got ahold of their teaser Of Pit and Snare, their newest clip and it promises many metallic delights.

Now, this is harsh fare. The clip bombards you with extracts … [...] Click to raid more!
