One Eternal for Stortregn!

Stortregn - One Eternal - Album Cover

Usually, the RMR crew doesn’t respond to shoutouts to cover very short blurbs like that one. But here Stortregn appeared on our radar with a pretty loud bang. Impermanence of 2021 was the latest piece the review desk picked up, and it was a feisty one. For some reason, Finitude didn’t make it onto our review pipe, and it probably should have.

Now, we’re hearing that Romain Negro is seriously out the door and a new vocalist – Franck de Luca – is now in charge of destroying any sense of reasonable clean singing. And that is where the main … [...] Click to raid more!

Savage Lands – Army of the Trees (2025) – Review

Savage Lands - Army of the Trees - Album Cover

Let me tell you what made us pick this record up in the first place. Black Rock Heart, the first track on Savage Lands‘ debut album Army of the Trees, wildly reminded us of Slap Betty‘s piece of work that aired some years ago. After that, only bits and pieces graced our soundscapes until they hit the circuit again in 2019 with an EP. The RMR crew took real notice of them only once As In Gardens, So In Tombs hit our turntables with a bang.

So, we weren’t quite sure if …And Oceans‘ songwriting process would take yet … [...] Click to raid more!

Jade – Mysteries of a Flowery Dream (2025) – Review

Jade - Mysteries of a Flowery Dream - Album Cover

Something doesn’t make sense here. The title of Jade‘s latest piece – Mysteries of a Flowery Dreamjust doesn’t sync with the primeval monster roaming a dystopian landscape on display. There ain’t nothing flowery here, no sense of relief. Instead, it talks about tribulation and fear. A tale akin to Lovecraftian nightmares and hints of Bloch’s De Vermis Mysteriis. Of proto-plasmic horrors still to come to this earth and harrow mankind.

Well, doesn’t that just sound like the present-day times on full display? A period full of uncertainties driven by dark forces, with a dead compass leading … [...] Click to raid more!
