RockmusicRaider - Feuerschwanz - Schubsetanz - Video Cover

Who would have thought that Feuerschwanz would ever appear on this blog? And for a metal clip, no less.

But the Black Metal version of their 2018 piece Schubsetanz was just irresistible. You see, the original is downright silly, yet this one gets you a perfect parody of Black Metal and its worst antics.

And the crew here couldn’t really withstand the juicy allure of this mix of Rammstein’s dance metal, Cradle of Filth, and the funky energy of Nanowar of Steel. From a band that doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously at the same time, and … [...] Click to raid more!

It’s interesting how a number of prog outfits currently drift towards the … [...] Click to raid more!

Marko Hietala leaves Nightwish!

RockmusicRaider - Marko Hietala 2020

May we live in interesting times, right? The bad – or strange – news never stops, and we’re in for more in 2021.

Nightwish‘s Marko Hietala has decided to quit the band with immediate effect and to – in his words – “…leave public life.” It appears that during the terrible last year, he had second thoughts about his life as a musician and the music industry as a whole. Which – wisely – led him to take a time-out and leave one of the greatest Symphonic Metal bands of all time. And that is a pity.

Hietala always … [...] Click to raid more!
