It’s time to work on the leftovers from the Year of the Lord 2021. Those that were slated for review initially but for some reason never got enough attention. One of them is the – until recently – pretty much unknown band Sun of the Suns and their debut album TIIT.

And who ever said that we won’t be covering those joint Deathcore pieces anymore? The ones that gurgle themselves through a tasty Death Metal repertoire when they’re not busy ripping everyone a new butthole with their ‘core activities.

One of the main challenges a metal band has in this ever-growing mass of often mediocre material is to stand out and shine. Many genres have been beaten to death so many times that any use of them will resemble that proverbial dead horse. It’s a conundrum of sorts that some manage well – and others less so.

Some of the RMR crew like to visit exhibitions. Nothing sleazy nor infested with demonic distortions or styles for nerds only. Just plain art displayed in more or less astonishing splendor.

And sometimes you stand in front of one of these paintings and you wonder why you like the piece. Nothing on the offering really talks to you at first. Yet, something kinda speaks to your inner self. It’s a communication of sorts that you cannot control, and you actually don’t want to. A pleasant discourse that takes place despite yourself.
