GLDN Hemophilia Album Cover

GLDN stated that he wasn’t done yet and needed to inflict more blood-soaked wares on the unsuspecting audience in 2022. Some more unspeakable and poorly constructed things from the same bitter well? Presumably.

Soit!1) As we say in French!

So, here’s to another round of messy debauchery. For those in the know, RMR already covered the New York-based band earlier in the year on their EP First Blood and we weren’t entirely impressed. To say the least. And now Hemophilia got sent our way. Vampiric blood drain in action, that kind of thing.

Interestingly, this second attempt at fame … [...] Click to raid more!

Ashenspire - Hostile Architecture - Album Cover

Didn’t we state many times over that those out-of-the-box records are really down the RMR upper echelon’s proverbial alley? Indeed we did. So why did Ashenspire‘s latest album not click right away when it was released?

Well, guess what, extreme musings in many shades of dreary grey about concrete urban structures and social impurities really don’t work too well when the sun shines outside. In other words, July is summertime. Hot temperatures, nice breeze, beach bar, and fun. Not the time of year for us to dwell on the smelly dregs of urban lifestyles and sprawling crimes against the … [...] Click to raid more!

Rioghan - Different Kinds of Losses - Album Cover

These funky instances are few and far between. Sometimes one just spots them. New artists sporting insane talent, way out there beyond the beaten track. And their work just hooks you straight away. It’s a bit like the devil and your dark soul. As a reviewer, you won’t get away from it until you wrote yer piece. Or there won’t be peace – of mind or otherwise.

Rioghan is one of those artists. Already her 2021 EP Blackened Sky landed in our review pipe like a dropkick on a wet surface. And that one didn’t try to dazzle us with … [...] Click to raid more!

In the Woods... - Diversum - Album Cover

Let me bring you songs from the wood? Strange, we heard that line before, eons ago, didn’t we? But it kinda clicks with this outfit, a band called – In The Woods…, with the album art depicting a human tree from hell of sorts.

The band started off back in 1991 – some 31 years in the past. But already in 2000, they departed on a giant hiatus until – 2014. Since then, they unleashed two records to mixed acclaim with Diversum, their third attempt at new-found glory.

And I must admit, whilst Into The Woods… might have … [...] Click to raid more!
