So I guess, we’re going to hunt for new ‘n’ monstrous tech death roaming around the early dawn of 2026 somewhere else. A piece that’ll try to melt our faces with its ferocious metal on full display. The RMR crew’s lately been to Cemican‘s idea of the Yucatan jungle. A rhythmically charged version of fetid metal and folk vibes in wild disarray. But the piece’s still alluring enough, sez I. The terrible war drums are present all over, after all. And that is always a good thing. However, Waldgeflüster‘s excursions into folky realms and back to metal mama didn’t quite sit too well with the Review Desk. A weird, helter-skelter production on a giant errand to pagan lands, which led to a mixed experience.

It’s almost funky to see how the n00b carousel over at the RMR office tower is starting to spin. Testament started their career in 1987, and boy, were we young then. This is a band of true heavy music pioneers, and they’ve been at it ever since, serving the sick urges of generations of metalheads.
