Cyprus is on the menu again and extreme metallers Blynd are on the prowl and back from hibernation. It took them a while to return from the undead since their 2015 piece Liber Sum aired. Their last record already packed a mighty punch. Now, let’s see what they were up to for the last 9 years or so. Judging by the daemonic artwork, this is gonna be harsh and straight down into the blackened pit.

Blynd‘s lineup – surprisingly – survived the almost decade-long waiting loop. Only Andreas Hadjipandeli newly joined the band in 2022 on guitars. And that … [...] Click to raid more!

Vredehammer - God Slayer - Album Cover

Well, look what slithered into daylight from under an ancient rock. From virulent black, to death, and gothic doom ‘n’ gloom, they got everything in their baggage.

But around the middle of the last decade, a shift in style occurred. With Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού (Katá ton Daímona Eautoú)1[...] Click to raid more!

Hell:On - Shaman - Album Cover

Let me be straightforward with you. Every record the RMR crew touched so far with sitar-infested shamanesque vibes was a failure. Either it wasn’t up to par or the lofty goals of the band were a tad too high-strung for their own good. Meaning, most of the culprits didn’t even make it over the threshold over here, but some like Saturnian Mist actually did.

So, the review desk didn’t have high hopes for Hell:On‘s latest record1, and the piece was thus already confined to the oubliette before it even garnered a closer look from the powers that … [...] Click to raid more!
