RockmusicRaider Review Tiamat Scarred People - Album CoverYou know what? The Swedish band Tiamat‘s 2012 album The Scarred People sounds like Moonspell on a sunny day. Minus the evil menace the latter exude throughout their productions. I know – the Moonspell line was already present on the Wildhoney review, but what can I do? You could also argue that it is some weird mixture of Type O Negative and The Sisters of Mercy.

The stylish turncoat attitude is very prevalent with Tiamat – actually an attitude to be applauded. They clearly do not want to be put into silos and I like that. But even if this is so, it means that Tiamat display vision, creativity and courage to go to places where no others were before, taking inspiration from other work (in this case Pink Floyd). Unfortunately there is a lot of LSD induced shit they put onto this very greenwashed dish of vinyl. And this will cost Tiamat one or two stars off the rating. But what a move away from the 1992 production Clouds, which was on the Grunge/Death Metal kind of sorts. I never cease to be amazed. [...]  Got hooked? Raid on...!
