2015 is over and now I continue to unearth all these hidden gems that somehow went missing last year. And I am unhappy to say that I really missed that one.

Hand. Cannot. Erase. from Progressive Rock and Metal adept Steven Wilson is a very special piece of work. In fact, you will find a lot of early progressive hooks on this disk, sometimes with flavors of old prog masters mixed into all that. Is it good or bad to be reminded right away of another band, when starting on a new review?

Wildhoney of the Swedish band Tiamat does exactly that to you. And the album resembles – in style – to what we get to hear from bands like modern-day Moonspell and Pink Floyd. Aye, I kid you not.

Gotta love them! The Bloop sounds like stuff we already heard really and felt somewhere, but when? Ah, back in the ’70s, there you go. In yonder times when laid back and cool Rock was in fashion. Southern Bluesy Tunes that really relax you – good for the soul after all that complicated Metal stuff that I recently listened to.
