A long while ago, the RMR deck crew issued that first attempt at glory. A list of most popular posts. Those that stuck with the audience, appreciation expressed through the sheer force of a great many clicks.

Since our last measurement, things changed dramatically and RockmusicRaider progressed further down that road to blog nirvana. In other words, from being totally on the outskirts of the metal music blogosphere, we find ourselves today at least somewhat more center stage. So, compared to our first attempt, there’s a tad more oomph behind our stats this time.

RockmusicRaider proudly uses WordPress to deliver those snazzy music reviews to our fan base. First, because this is a rock-solid, well-known, and constantly updated system to build a site on. And second, because I consider WordPress to be pretty secure.

In fact, the success of a CMS (= Content Management System) defines itself around security-related considerations. It’s a bit like some real estate you wish to acquire. I am pretty sure that you would not buy a place that misses appropriate locks on its entries and sports holes instead of properly secured windows.

You guys know about tennis, right? The epic battles that Federer, Nadal or Djokovic fight for long hours. Followed by addicts on courts stuffed with miscellaneous humanity for felt eternities. To watch a ball smack back and forth. And back again. Over a net. With some limited drama, because emotions are – well – not in line. The Queen may not be amused, that kind of thing.
