Tower – Let There Be Dark (2025) – Review

Tower - Let There Be Dark - Album Cover

You gotta celebrate them. ‘Young’ bands worshipping the well-trodden grounds of good ol’ speedy Heavy Metal. Sounds that harken back to times when the only genre pretty much was that very same one. These were the times when fledgling Hard Rock bands tried themselves at that new devil’s music many old farts of that era took exception with.

Of course, it would not take long until the new metal world branched out into a gazillion sub-genres and blossomed into that ill-fated Yggdrasil ov Metal we know today. But until that happened, things were easy and spawned some of the greatest … [...] Click to raid more!

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt? Well, not so fast.

Tumenggung would like a word. And they’re not necessarily the freshest on the block anymore. In 2007 they saw the light of day … [...] Click to raid more!

KingCrown – Nova Antlantis (2024) – Review

KingCrown - Nova Atlantis - Album Cover

Power Metal is a scarce commodity over at RMR this year. Don’t ask me why, the crew here usually likes itself a lusty slab of juicy metal. But – alas – pickings have forever been meager so far.

But now, late in the year, KingCrown spake, and their voice is mighty. To the point that the old geezers over at the Review Desk suddenly got jolted awake by some earthquake, good ol’ Poseidon caused over on the Atlantic sea floor. Welcome to Nova Atlantis. Oh, and careful with that trident. Just sayin’.

Once Dream Evil‘s newest epos aired … [...] Click to raid more!
