Death of GiantsVentesorg got banned back into the waiting loop earlier in 2023. Not because the record lacked in quality, but because the time wasn’t right for yet another emotional rollercoaster back in May. You see, the RMR crew indeed covered records dealing with psychological trauma in the past – and that avalanche of raw emotion always hit us at some level. So, the time must be ripe for such a piece. And now is a good time to get going with those bleak and cold rainstorms rushing by.

But in truth, this record turned into one of … [...] Click to raid more!

2021 and 2022 yielded a crop of 8 PM reviews each, some at pretty stellar levels. Out of which Vandor, Ilium, and Fellowship stood out. 2023 has been more restrained so far. Luckily the laggards at the RMR review desk finally … [...] Click to raid more!

Whoa, these guys will be up against some stiff competition. 2022 has been a pretty good year for Heavy Metal over at the RMR office tower. And as always, some of the material was excellent and some parts less so. That said, however, some of this year’s output wasn’t quite pvre heaviness anymore. In other words, contaminations from other genres crept in. Albeit sometimes to great effect, so it’s not all bad. But still, we seem to have trouble these days keeping to the spirit of the ’70s and ’80s, a time when the NWoBHM1 was in full … [...] Click to raid more!
