For some reason, the long-standing extreme metallists of Septicflesh never made it onto the RMR ‘zine. To find the reason for that decidedly unhappy development is difficult to discern. Not underground enough with the smell of the mainstream all over them, communication issues, problems with the label1, the reasons can be legion. And we have no real answer.

But as is often the case, bands suddenly appear on our radar through some moving pictures. And this time, Hierophant – the band’s latest clip – got ahold of our limited attention span. Ripped straight from their upcoming record Modern [...] Click to raid more!

The sturdier and well-fashioned Queen of Time added nicely to the relatively meager pickings on our blog for 2018. And indeed, this record morphed yet again into one of the staples over here, and rightly so.

Now, does that mean that … [...] Click to raid more!

Misteyes - Creeping Time - Album Cover

Well, gosh. RMR speaks to the seriously defunct. Our deckhands sometimes love to reach back into our vast collection of albums and pull out a record that didn’t make it onto the review pipe. And often, those old pieces belong – or belonged – to bands that gave up the ghost in the meantime. That’s quite sad because many of those outfits showed insane promise. But for some reason, this bunch of reviewers here didn’t pick up on it when there was still time.

So, Creeping Time from Misteyes somehow magically appeared out of the Void of Unkown Review Matter… [...] Click to raid more!
