Here comes SAVN, who was lauded as the breath of fresh air into an already dead (or kind of dead) genre that too many bands tried to ride into oblivion. Well, first of all, it’s not dead. There’s lots of good stuff coming out of it still.

So, what is this Norwegian act Savn? And more specifically, what is their debut album Savn all about? Judging by the creative process to get to a name of the record, not much.

The band consists of two former members of The Sins of Thy Beloved and the former lead singer … [...] Click to raid more!

RockmusicRaider Review - Delain - Human Contradiction - Album Cover

Well, how to classify Delain‘s latest concoction The Human Contradiction? Still Delain, but a more sanitized, more mainstream version of their former, fresher self. And with former I mean before the album We are the Others that got itself a bit too much into the Pop Rock arena for its own good.

Not sure if this is really good, shifting away from their former style into the Pop Rock arena, that is. And some of my co-reviewers call this Hard Rock, err yeah. To their credit, still some (but only some) of their metal sting that was more prevalent before has been sustained. But by and large the Finnish band The Rasmus has landed a pretty good, but very gloomy next step in their career.

I was quite pleased to listen to some crunchier sound emerging in their 7th studio album Black Roses. The record started extremely fast. At #1 in the [...] Click to raid more!
