Didn’t we already encounter some bastardly punkfaces earlier this year? We indeed did. Wolfbastard hail from the windy island in the North Sea, though, whereas here we got ourselves brutal German fare. Straight Teutonic power. Relentless and brutal.

What piqued our attention, though, was the weirdly similar album names. The former called their concoction Satanic Scum Punks, whereas Arroganz here had theirs down as Death Doom Punks. Let’s just hope that this is a naming oversight of the arrogant ones and no botched creativity attempt. But whatever the truth, that’s a godawful load of fucking punkery. I frankly never thought I’d write a 0/10 review. And those are, come to think of it, described as ‘dead on arrival’ in our ranking guide. Such a – thing would need to be more than abysmally bad and really point to a band on their way out of their very own predicament.

Over the more than 10 years of RMR in action, we have had exactly two (2) full-length pieces ranking at 1/101/2, but never a zero-level event. And this gives you an idea as to how rare true garbage pieces are over here.

Ah, the RMR n00b carousel is turning again in 2026. Who would have thought that? This time with At The Gates, destroying metal objects since 1990 with some significant absences in between. Yet another band with a proven track record furthering the metal cause. But one that – for some reason – did not make it onto our roster until now.

The last time over, they mercilessly hammered robed priests to a pulp. This time, they take an unholy liking to broken bottles in dark street corners. It’s a blood-soaked business, this punkish Black Metal thing.
