Avantasia – Moonglow (2019) – Review

RockmusicRaider - Spotify Logo

RockmusicRaider - Avantasia - Moonglow - Album Cover Ah, countless calories galore. I just went to the fondue shop to get my fix of milk fat, garlic and loads of white wine. Together with two baguettes of course. You do need nice, crusty bread to go with this dish of molten cheese.

Well, in hindsight, this is not something I should have done. Because little did I know that I’d get started on Avantasia‘s Moonglow anytime soon.

Overtures being one of them and they are rocking away from Gorizia, right on the border with Slovenia. The band is now ready to open the doors on their newest and third full length studio album Artifacts. To me this is – not quite surprisingly – about the most mature album they [...] Click to raid more!

RockmusicRaider Review - Avantasia - Ghostlights - Album CoverAfter listening to Ghostlights from Avantasia, we are all going to be encased in a coffin of hard cheddar. Covered with yoghurt and buried in the deep abysses of the Mighty Milky Land, where the cheese was born. Never to come back. And if we do, then as the cheese-ridden undead, madly chanting away choruses from Tobias Sammet‘s latest mighty project.

Because this production will get into your head, replace your windy branches of your brain with Avantasia tracks, and make you repeat them all over again. The never-ending, kind of theatrically laden bombast will [...] Click to raid more!
