People like to give advice about blogging. And one of them said to never, ever cover these underground bands. The ones with scathingly bad marketing skills, who never really released any ‘trve’ record. Those that think a Bandcamp account or some Facebook page are worthy substitute websites that will take them to the next level. Somewhere, near to stardom nirvana.

At first, we got confused with Operation: Mindcrime of Queensrÿche. How come a record sounds so ’80s when the label says that it is made in 2003?

Okay, our bad, the researcher somehow did not connect the dots correctly. This was when the remaster happened. But the original record indeed dates back to 1988. So, all’s well in metal universe again.

Yet confusion does suit this band well. It snugly goes together with the hullabaloo around Geoff Tate in 2012, a time when the band fired him along with his wife and others of family and friends. They probably … [...] Click to raid more!

You know, sometimes you have to grab them by the swagger. The bands that show some spice, cocksure of their epic prowess in all things metal.

But then again, we kinda appreciate that trait over here at RMR, too. 

So, here’s to Serene Dark who do advertise their trade in a way that made us unsure (at first) if their approach was only just confidence. Something that needs to be followed up by real action, like them Northern warriors of olden times that existed by their codex. And only by their codex.
