I have an almost sentimental connection to Crypt Sermon. The review for their first full-length record Out of the Garden came to this blog when I seriously started to contemplate continuing with this endeavor. And their album really did get me on this road of loads of work – and little reward.

Now this – at that time – little known band did show a lot of promise. An outfit that we thought would really start to shine further down the road with a little more action under their belt.

Third Storm just returned from the cold, vast plains of Hel. To torment us with their new EP Tarîtîya Me. 

The Swedish band sports a very dark and weird mix of Black Metal. With a goodly portion blackened Funeral Doom Metal thrown in for good measure.

The band formed way back in 1986, in cold dark Sweden. By a bunch of youngsters wanting to do something different from the mainstream, ending up on the smelly bottom of extreme underground metal. The compression hits you first. And that is unfortunate. Yet, the often Heavy Metal flavored Doom Metal style of the US band Crypt Sermon nevertheless managed to keep our attention.

Out of the Garden is the first full-length album of this young band. And the RMR deck crew really dug their savvy style and crunchy delivery right off the bat. This band truly wields a pretty hefty Doom Metal ball. One that flies true, straight and remains solidly on target.
