Ah, we are having a distinct Death Metal fest this year, methinks. Azaab just visited these pages with a novel concept not very long ago. Yet, it wasn’t quite brutal enough to make it onto the malevolent 2022 series.1) For that we don’t need avant-garde, we need Atrocities so bad that the covers of Cannibal Corpse will seem like a kids’ cartoon. Break out yer paintbrushes.

But first, a public service announcement. If you’re looking for the intricate beauty in Enragement‘s newest record, its connection to the mysterious forces of Gaia, or its contribution to peace and love, … [...] Click to raid more!

By long-standing policy, it does not really matter where the material originates from,1) it’s the quality that counts.

So, here we got ourselves the first band from Pakistan ever that made the cut for the RMR review pipe. You know, that list of unfathomable depths, almost as complicated and mysterious as the Vatican archives. On top of all that, the band sports a name like a … [...] Click to raid more!

RMR recently started a series. One that will bring us harsh metal, terrible metal, the tastiest alloys from the darkest recesses of this particular multiverse.1) Kind of aligned to the current signs of the times, but designed to turn the next Top 10 Records list into a somber and decidedly steely affair. A response to the malevolent year that 2022 already seems to morph into. Sidious went first with a totally blackened aggression that damaged our loudspeakers longer than it should have.

But this time, we will try a slightly different tack. Sidus Atrum‘s Spiral of Life truly … [...] Click to raid more!
