In 2016, The Reticent issued one of the best – if not THE best – Progressive Metal album of the year called On the Eve of a Goodbye. And I am not saying this lightly.

The emotional discharge, genuine passion, and musical prowess are such that the record ended up on spot number two of the 2016 Top Ten Records in the RMR universe. And the record still rocks a lot on the RMR mighty sound machine. So much so that the tear-drenched tune risks rusting the metal it is built on.

I love Progressive Metal. This is where metal meets the grey unknown. Far, far away from the ‘established’ legions of bands. Those that seemingly always want to produce more of the same.
