Now, wait a minute. Karisma Records, some strange building, haphazardly cast into nature. We had that before, right? Correct. It was Ljungblut, that guy telling us about a cabin in the Norwegian mountains. So, that’s why the album cover fascinated us right away.

Now, the core of Liminal Sky consists of two members only, Jaime Gomez Arellano, a known producer and musician, and Daniel Knight (Messenger), both based in the UK. Here’s to one small blurb I wanted to cover for a while. Back in 2021, Los Disidentes del Sucio Motel got some mileage out of RMR for their Polaris record. Not the easiest of fares and somewhat difficult to get into. But it was worth it and sufficiently out of the box to keep our interest levels up and sharp.

I never thought we would cover Leprous ever again. After all, Einar Solberg took his almost picture-perfect prog act down a windy road of whiny, high-pitched, and soft-balled tunes. Suddenly, the progressive cojones went missing and the outcome wasn’t something we could stomach for more than five minutes at a time. But wait, what? This ain’t Solberg?

Steven Wilson‘s 2023 piece, The Harmony Codex, didn’t quite work for us. And that came as a shock to some of the RMR crew over here. Because even the feisty and pop-laden The Future Bites managed to get into our good graces, and for cause. But it also garnered a lament of Wilson and others turning their mutual backs on prog.
