Dodecahedron – Kwintessens (2017) – Review

RockmusicRaider Review - Dodecahedron - Kwintessens - Album CoverSomething creates dark, foreboding atmospheres. Cold empty spaces filled with noisy dissonance to chill your soul with frozen hydrogen. And no doubt you need this type of a wall of sound if a record takes off with something called The Culling of the Unwanted of the Earth. Equally if the main actor goes by the name of ‘The Entity’. By Loki!

Dark and grey, a landscape of bleak winds howling through the low-lying mists. The mists that just about hide the sharp-toothed monsters within. Well, hells bells, quite a piece of work, now ain’t it? In truth Kwintessens of Dodecahedron got dissed swiftly and banned to a far corner of the RMR offices for a few months.Got hooked? RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Cycloscopia - Immured - Album CoverSometimes alternative universes show up in the RockmusicRaider review pipeline that persist. As with the latter, the questions poses itself if Immured should qualify as metal or not. And again as before, the band gets this metal tinge out into the open that even warms this metalhead’s steely heart.Got hooked? Raid this some more...
