The RMR offices just reviewed the icy Black Metal album Kwintessens of Dodecahedron dealing with some sort of a rebirth cycle. Understandably, birth, death, and rebirth are – for some at least – pretty important. Even if this specific dogma is not really supported by the Holy See.

So it is doubly spicy to see another such record appearing from Salerno in Italy of all places. A country, more known for its catholic values, rather than its progressive undercurrents. Already the intro waltzes away like something straight from Central Europe, somewhat of a baroque classical style with a slightly Austrian touch.

Which makes sense to an extent.

Panychida are joining us from Plzeň in the Czech Republic. An area, more known for its beer, classical music (not metal, sadly), and loads of history. So, you kind of wonder where this is all going. Until the evil twins from Shining step in with a [...] Click to raid more!
